Anne Rabbitte

Fighting For Galway East

I am a mother, a homemaker, a local representative, a national representative—and above all, I am your voice.

My journey to where I am today has been built on a mix of small steps and bold leaps of faith.

I had the privilege of being elected to the Dáil in February 2016 and once again reelected in February 2020, to represent the people of Galway East.

A significant milestone in my political career came with my appointment as Minister of State in the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, and Integration, with a special focus on disability issues. This role has allowed me to directly impact policies that support some of our most vulnerable communities.

With my deep understanding of government and years of experience, I am able to navigate complex processes efficiently.

My strong relationships with various government departments help me cut through the red tape that often delays vital projects for our community.

At the heart of my political philosophy is an unwavering commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities. I believe in creating environments where equality is not just an ideal but a lived reality.

My journey continues, powered by the same determination and hope that have brought me this far – a dedication to serving, listening, and making a meaningful difference.

The Leadership and experience East Galway Needs Right Now

Why Vote 1

Anne Rabbitte?

With 8 years of experience in national government, including 4 years as Minister of State, I work to ensure government policies reflect the needs and aspirations of the people of Galway East, championing sustainable development and innovative solutions to the unique challenges we now face in our towns and villages.

A minister in any constituency plays a pivotal role in accelerating projects and addressing constituents needs effectively.

Given my extensive political experience at a higher position in the government hierarchy, I can and do! leverage my influence and my hard-won networks to secure better funding and fast-track important projects, ensuring our constituency of East Galway receives priority attention in state or national development plans.

The presence of a minister in East Galway is vital.

It tends to attract more infrastructure investments to the region, as businesses often feel more confident investing in areas represented by influential leaders.

Ultimately, my senior status usually translates to stronger advocacy for local issues at cabinet meetings and parliamentary sessions, ensuring the constituency’s concerns receive adequate attention at the highest levels of government.

This can only mean one thing.

If reelected, I am ambitious to be anointed with a seat at the top table, where all the important decisions are made that will affect our constituency.
