Minister Anne Rabbitte has opened a new hub in Pfizer Ireland, offering a paid internship for people with intellectual disabilities to learn about the world of work.
The new hub has been created by WALK Ireland, in in partnership with Pfizer Ireland and CPL Ireland and has already taken on six interns.
WALK are leaders in a movement for change, empowering people with disabilities to live self-determined lives in an equal and inclusive society.
They believe that given the right support, everyone who wants to work, have a job or a career should be able to do so. WALK will facilitate individuals to fulfil their career and employment ambitions in life by supporting them to realise their potential, access opportunities and build their own natural supports.
Their new hub in Pfizer Ireland offers paid internships for people with intellectual disabilities.
